All praise is due to Allah alone (سبحانه وتعالى) and may His blessings and peace be upon the last and final prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلّم).

The art of teaching is no longer based on instincts or talent or familiarity only, but we have to add to it, learning the foundations and basics of the occupation and how to teach. There is no doubt that from the most important things one should give utmost attention to is the teaching of the book of Allah; the noble Qur’aan.

Therefore, the teacher or reciter of the noble Qur’aan must learn the ways and methods of memorizing the noble Qur’aan, the best of books and the most truthful of them. He or she must also aspire to be from the scholars and knowledgeable people of the past.

This in shaa Allah is an attempt to explain the steps to memorizing the noble Qur’aan and some methods or exercises that will help the memorization process.

The source and main material used in preparing the content of this blog is the book, Ways of teaching the noble Qur’aan and memorizing it by Abu Abdrahman, Jamal ibn Ibrahim AlQirsh (طرائق تدريس القرآن الكريم وحفظه).

I ask Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) to make this deed sincerely for His sake, and to benefit people with it at all times, and to forgive us and our parents and all of the believers, verily He is the One in charge and is able to do all things, Ameen.

May the blessings and peace of Allah be upon His servant and prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلّم) and upon his family and his companions.

والحمد لله رب العالمين
